So, this is the english version of the short story featuring Carver and his first meeting with Ewan, and the fiorst time I do a collab with an italian, in this case ~Lilithblack.

If you ask, Ansbourg is on the antivan border and I am not sure if it's part of the Free Marches of the kingdom of Antiva, though it appears that is a Marcher city (also according to the Wiki), so I tried to keep it neutral on this part. If it's Antiva it would be perfectly natural for Ewan to ask to track down Zevran's whereabouts to them, but even if it's Free Marches I can see many reason for it as well: first because there are more connections between Ansbourg and the Amaranthine wardens than with the Antivans (we know that Anders and Stroud know each other, and Nathaniel works with them in his investigations following the Tethras expedition route. Moreover, Warden Alistair is seen with them so i think there are many exchanges across the waking sea between the two garrison), and secondly because asking to an antivan warden to track down a rogue Crow would be... well, maybe unappropriate, considering the infamy of the Antivan Crows.

And last but not least, Ewan knows his cousin is here (see the comic) so maybe he thought the commander would have accepted anyway.
Ewan's family is growing: DA2 changed the perspectives on this, and from an alone orphan he got three living cousins and a uncle at the time of In Peace Vigilance. I plan to develop further his relationship with the Hawkes, and possibly with Charade as well (though i think i'll "mod" her hair when I'll come to that... i replayed "Gamlen's greatest treasure" last night and her Caterina Caselli look is simply... ugh!).
